Black triangular plate of soft-dried pineapple rings on white cloth

Soft-dried pineapple. Two finishes off one ring.

Whole rings of sun-ripened Vietnamese pineapple, dried until the flesh is tender rather than dry. The plain line carries no added sugar, no artificial colour and no preservative; the chilli-salt line takes the same ring and coats it after drying, with heat and salt set on your order. OEM and private label.

The Line

What comes out of the dryer.

One fruit, one cut, two finishes. The chilli line is the same ring with a coating step added after drying, so what separates the two is the seasoning and the ingredient statement — not the fruit, and not the chew.

The piece

Rings, not chips

Sun-ripened pineapple, cut into whole rings and dried until the flesh is tender and pliable. The acidity of the fresh fruit survives the dryer, so the ring reads sweet and sharp at once rather than sweet alone.

The method

Sweet and tangy, nothing added

No sugar, no artificial colour, no preservative — the sweetness in the plain line is the fruit's own, held against the tang the pineapple came in with. That balance of sweet and tangy is how the factory describes the plain line.

Against the rest of the range

The tang is what sets it apart

Most of what we soft-dry sells on sweetness alone. Pineapple keeps its acidity through the dryer, so the ring reads sharp as well as sweet. Snacks, baking, yoghurt topping, trail mix and gourmet ingredient work are the five uses the factory lists for it.

Two Finishes

Plain rings, or chilli salt.

Both come off the same fruit in the same cut. Choose by the shelf you are selling into.

Variant

Plain

Sweet and tangy held in balance, tender to bite, with nothing added for sugar, colour or shelf life. This is the version that goes into health-food ranges, bakery work and yoghurt toppings.

Variant

Chilli salt

The pineapple lands first, salt cuts across it, and chilli closes the bite. Heat level and salt level are both set on your order, and for retail packs the factory recommends a stand-up pouch.

What carries across

Same ring, different statement

Fruit, cut and chew are shared between the two. The ingredient statement is not: the no-added-sugar wording belongs to the plain line, and a chilli recipe is declared on its own terms when the quote is written.

Where It Sells

Who buys the rings, and which finish they take.

Health-food ranges

Health-food brands head the factory's own list of buyers here. The plain version is the one that fits: nothing added, so the declaration stays short.

Bakery and dairy

Rings chopped into doughs and batters, or laid whole over yoghurt and dessert. Bakeries are on the factory's own list of buyers for this line.

Trail mix and blends

In a mixed bag the pineapple is the sour note against sweeter fruit. The factory also lists it on its own as a gourmet ingredient.

Convenience and bold snacking

The chilli-salt finish is aimed at younger shoppers and convenience shelves, and the same piece doubles as a salad topping or a cocktail garnish.

The Spec Sheet

The numbers come with the quote, plain or chilli.

A plain recipe and a chilli recipe do not share a spec sheet, and neither do a bulk carton and a retail pouch. One published column of figures would be the wrong column for most people reading it, so the fields are set out here and your quote is what fills them in.
